"What comes into our minds when we think about God is
the most important thing about us." A.W. Tozer

Core Values

The following are the core values of Providence Bible Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

God's Glory

We exist to GLORIFY GOD (1 Cor. 10:31). We strive to bring God glory in all we do. We are committed to a God-centered worldview and philosophy of ministry. When making decisions, we ask, “What would bring God the most glory?”

The Gospel

The Gospel (1 Cor. 15:3-4) is central to everything we do. The Gospel is not only the ABCs of the Christian Life it is the A to Z. (Col. 2:6) We don’t work FOR a relationship with God, we work FROM a relationship with God. The Gospel impacts every other relationship in our lives and empowers us to treat others with forgiveness, mercy, and grace. We constantly preach the gospel to ourselves as well as others.

Biblical Authority

The Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God (2 Tim. 3:16-17). The Bible is our objective source of authority. At Providence, we submit our preferences, opinions, and feelings to God’s Word. When attempting to make a decision, one of the first questions we ask is “What does the BIBLE say about this?”

Relationships

If we say we love GOD we should love PEOPLE (Jn. 13:35). Because people are made in God’s image, we recognize the value and worth of every individual. We strive for unity in all we do and are committed to each other’s well being. We value people more than programs and relationships more than rituals. We are not content to have shallow connections with each other but strive to share our lives with each other. We are willing to sacrifice our time and resources to help each other.

The Great commission

We do not exist to be COMFORTABLE but to change the world. We are committed to making disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:16-20). We are a CHURCH planting church. We are committed to helping start new churches every year. We are committed to reaching our neighbors and community with the Gospel. We embrace a BOTH/BOTH mentality of local missions/outreach AND international missions & support. It is not enough to draw a crowd and meet together, we must make disciples. Nothing matters more than people knowing, loving, and following Jesus.
